Please read these terms and conditions before using theThe Curtain Co website and its online shop The Curtain Co and More, as by using www.thecurtainco.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these conditions, which apply to all transactions on this website. Any contract between us will be governed by English law.

The Curtain Co reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions from time to time by posting new terms and conditions. Your statutory rights are not affected. If you have any comments in respect of these terms and conditions, please email helen@thecurtainco.co.uk

Use of website

The Curtain Co is not liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials on this website. If you are referred to another website by external links, The Curtain Co is not in control of these websites, and when you leave this website, we cannot accept responsibility or liability for anything on another website. You must not use this website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way.

Orders and availability

When submitting an order to The Curtain Co, you are entering a contract with us to supply you with handmade, made to measure curtains, blinds or interior products purchased from The Curtain Co and More as described in the product detail. This contract becomes binding upon the acceptance of your order. In the rare and unlikely circumstance of the product you ordered not being available, we will contact you in order to either offer a full refund, or to discuss with you if you would prefer another item, or give you a date when the item will be back in stock, subject to availability from our supplier. Any refunds due to unavailability will be made as soon as possible, and within 30 days of your order.

Product pricing

Prices for products on “The Curtain Co & More” include VAT. Prices may change from time to time. Labour for curtains and blinds made by The Curtain Co are exempt of VAT.


You can make your payment using PayPal for shop items through the shop. You do not need a PayPal account to pay for your order. Non PayPal customers can pay with their credit card via the PayPal interface without needing to to register. Paypal deliver one of the most secure payment platforms available by encrypting all sensitive information sent between your computer and their systems, ensuring your information is kept private.

Cheques can be used for payment but these must clear before any Shop item can be despatched - usually 5 working days.

All transactions shall be made in UK Sterling, and as the buyer, should you be overseas with a different currency, you will be liable for any exchange charges made by your provider.


Goods are supplied to UK addresses with free postage and packing except for furniture, for which a delivery quote will be obtained and agreed with the buyer before dispatch. Alternatively, goods may be collected from the Purley showroom or local delivery by The Curtain Co. We use reputable courier services with a tracking ability. The Curtain Co cannot be held responsible for any delay in delivery once the items have been dispatched.

International Orders

If goods are being ordered from outside the UK, import duties and taxes may be incurred once your order reaches its destination. Interior Connections or the seller is not responsible for these charges and we cannot make any calculations nor estimates in this regard. If you are buying internationally, you are advised to contact your local custom authorities for further information.

If you are ordering internationally, please contact us before you place your order for a delivery quote, and this will be added to your order once it has been accepted and agreed.

Product Information

We take care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on this website are correct and we aim to keep this website updated as much as possible.

Product Colour

We make every effort to ensure that the products are photographed in their true likeness as much as possible. However, images can look different on various computer monitors and therefore exact colour matches are not possible. Swatches of fabrics and sample paint pots are available to order. However, fabric shades may vary slightly from swatches.

Upcycled furniture

We offer a few items of upcycled furniture. These items will show some signs of usage and are not in brand new condition - which adds to their charm and character. Light and sympathetic restoration of furniture will have been carried out where needed, including reupholstery and painting of wood. The fabrics used are fire retardant treated and comply with FR regulations.

We provide approximate dimensions of furniture but access for delivery to your room of choice is the customer’s responsibility. If you need more information on particular items, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Cancellation of orders

We reserve the right to cancel purchases and orders for any reason prior to despatch. If orders are cancelled for any reason, you will be refunded any monies paid in relation to these orders.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible and let us know your name, date of order and order content. If the order is for bespoke items and has already been started, then we cannot cancel the order.

Order returns and refunds for items purchased from “The Curtain Co and More”

We are happy to give you a full refund provided you return the item to us within 10 working days of receipt. You must notify us within 5 working days of any damage to your goods. Items must be carefully packaged and sent using a trackable and insured delivery service with proof of postage at your own cost, and must arrive in perfect order. If you wish to return any item for any reason, please contact us within 7 days, so that we are ready to process your return as soon as possible.

If you receive goods that are either damaged or defective, or not what you ordered, you must notify us within 48 hours of receiving the order and we will then arrange to refund the costs of the goods and any shipping costs, once returned and received back to The Curtain Co, unless we inform you that the return is not necessary. This does not affect your statutory rights.

NB Curtains, blinds and soft furnishings made by The Curtain Co may not be returned unless discussed with Helen. These items are made, supplied and delivered to agreed specifications.


Please note that whilst we will make every effort and reasonable care to keep your order details and payment secure, we cannot be responsible for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any information that you supply, when accessing or ordering from The Curtain Co website.

In the unlikely event, that there is an error in the cost of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible, but shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product that was shown with an incorrect price.

If you have ordered and paid for a product, where the cost shown on our website is incorrect, for any reason, we will email you to advise that we have not accepted your order and that it has been cancelled and we will make a full refund to the same account that the funds were originally taken from. You will be advised of the correct cost of the product and are able to re-order it, if you wish to do so, as a new transaction.

We do not accept any liability for any errors and/or omissions contained on our website and reserve the right to change information, prices and descriptions of products listed, at any time and without notice.

We strive to give the most accurate information we can, relating to dimensions, condition and provenance or age of the product, but can give no guarantee as to the accuracy of this information.

We have provided the most accurate representations of each product for sale on the website, though due to a number of varying factors, such as internet browsers etc. We cannot be held responsible or liable for any differences in colour between the image and the actual product itself.

We will not be liable to you or any third party by our withdrawing any product from this site, whether or not that product has been sold.

The Curtain Co cannot be held responsible or liable for your use of any websites that are accessible from this website, as we do not have any control or responsibility for these. Any such links should not be viewed as an endorsement or an affiliation with The Curtain Co.

The Curtain Co shall not be liable to you by reason of any representation, or implied condition, guarantee, or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence for any indirect special or resultant loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), expenses, costs or other claims for compensation whatsoever, which arise out of, or in connection with the use of The Curtain Co website, the sale of their products or their use of resale by you.


The Curtain Co will not share your details with anyone, unless required by law. We will only use your information for the purpose of fulfilling orders placed by you and adding you to our email list to advise you of future offers or news updates. If you do not wish to receive emails via Mailchimp, please contact us and your name will be removed or you can unsubscribe from the list.

We conform to the Data Protection Act 1998.

Intellectual Property

All content, graphics, photography, icons, images featured has had the permission granted to be used on this website by the different companies represented. We ask you not to share, download or use these. However, if you wish to share our website or information through social media we ask that you provide our full URL and that all credits are made to The Curtain Co.
